Ada Wong digital paint
So this is the first time I've ever done some serious digital painting. I decided to choose Ada Wong from the "Resident Evil" franchise just simply because I'm a fan of "Resident Evil". As always, I start out with a drawing of Ada Wong, re-touch the image in Photoshop, and then I begin to paint. Overall, I feel it's not a bad first attempt, I would've like the face to have turned out a little bit better for a future attempt as it's one of the most crucial aspects for creating attractive female characters. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Adobe Illustrator tutorial: Erie Night backdrop
Not a bad first attempt. Definitely going to re-work this one to make it look more presentable.

Adobe Illustrator tutorial: Glossy Yo-Yo
A fairly simple tutorial with a decent outcome. Fun fact: I use to own a yo-yo as a child and I wasn't too bad, I had some skill :P. Total nostalgia.

Adobe Illustrator tutorial: Chef's Knife
On a less intense note, I found another Illustrator tutorial via vectortuts' website. This one shows you how to build a chef's knife. Fairly basic tutorial, with a decent looking outcome, that I completed in like 35 mins.
Adobe Photoshop Tutorial: Futuristic Portrait
This was a really intense Photoshop tutorial. The results are less than spectacular due to the fact that this is the first time I'v ever done something so intense in Photoshop. I'm sure if I do this tutorial a second or third time, I might get the portrait to look better. Link to tutorial: Futuristic Portrait

Toronto Raptors logo in 3D Studio MAX
As part of my final 3D assignment, I built and render a 3D model of the Toronto Raptors logo. This was used in my final animation along with my Cleveland Cavaliers logo.
Oakley Flash site: Final Launch
Nishida_Graeme_OakleyFinalLaunch
So this is the final product for the Oakley Website built using AS3. This site is a great portfolio piece that I will definitely try and re-visit to make it more professional and appealing to potential employers. I'd like to load the videos inside of Flash (which I'm sure I can figure out) as oppose to loading them via a link from a server. I'd also like to fix the buttons. Make them change colour or something when the user mouses over them. Other than that, I'm mildly pleased with the outcome. I just wish I was a bit more proficient with AS3.

Photo Manipulations
So I was digging through my hard drive and I found these photos of things at Seneca College that I took back in DMA 204. I brought the images into Photoshop, did some wicked manipulations to the photos and ended up turning them into some awesome looking images.

Adobe Illustrator tutorial: Magic Wand
Magic Wand tutorial
So I've found another tutorial on vector.tutsplus.com. This one shows you how to build a magic wand icon in Illustrator. I found this tutorial after completing the "Gear Box tutorial".

Hardline Studios out, Gallery 91 in
So I went through a bit of a rebranding with my business. I scrapped "Hardline Studios" and replaced it with "Gallery 91 Inc.". I got the banner idea from the Hit the Lights album titled "Skip School Start Fights". I really dig the paint splatter and the rebranding gave me an opportunity to familiarize myself with the new Photoshop brushes. The idea to re-brand myself as "Gallery 91 Inc." came from an episode of "Reviews on the Run" were they interviewed this guy who is an employee at Gallery 1987 or something along those lines, so the idea behind the 91 is the year I was born.

More logo concepts for the Five Finger Death Punch contest
So I went back and refined some of my early ideas, as well as generating an entirely new one. The idea for having bits of glass sticking out of the fist with blood dripping down it came courtesy of my friend Josh. It was a good idea that fits well with what I believe FFDP are looking for in a logo. So far, I've spent about 6-7 hours just on the drawings.
