Logo Trace: Cleveland Cavaliers

So this is the Cleveland Cavaliers logo that I traced in Adobe Illustrator CS5. I printed out on my shitty ink jet printer just to get a preview of what the logo will look like, to make sure everything is okay, no missing elements, correct colour etc. It's a pretty basic logo, but it can still turn out pretty bad ass anyway. The final logo should be ready by this weekend.

T-Rex ROM Style Guide

See here's my completed T-Rex ROM style guide, I hope I've done everything correctly. For me, the swatches were a bit of a pain and finding a font and tracking style I liked also proved to be difficult. This style guide isn't incredibly difficult to complete (like I had anticipated), it's just time consuming.

T-Rex tooth model. Step 3: Applying the super sculpty

So this is step where I've applied the scuplty to the tin foil wrapped around the frame. I put in some stress marks using some scuplting tools and a paint brush. The next step is put this in the oven and bake it, then comes the paint job. By the way, the tooth is alot thicker than it actually looks.

T-Rex tooth model. Steps 2 and 3: Wire frame and wrapping it aluminum foil

so steps 2 and 3 involve designing a wire frame (I used some left over aluminum wire from my last scuplting project) and then wrapping it in aluminum foil so you can have something to scuplt to and you don't have to use a piss load of scuplty to finish this project.

Kitchen Drawing

Kitchen drawing in perspective, drawn for my final project in my drawing 1 class in Art Fundamentals. The whole process took about 4-5 weeks to draw, including thumbnail sketches, rough drawings, final drawings and then the 3 tone ink wash (dark, medium and light). I'm very proud of this drawing, it shows how far I've come in terms of perspective, structure, composition and sighting techniques. Canvas size is 11x17

Newspaper Editorial: Toyota Turmoil

A Newspaper editorial a drew back in March of 2010 when Toyota got themselves into some deep shit with the sticky accelerator problem and faulty brakes.

Roy Lichtenstein

On the botton is a piece by Roy Lichtenstein titled "Crak" on the top is my drawing loosely based on Lichtenstein's work. This assignment was done in my Art History class in my Art Fundamentals program when we were studying the different movements of fine art i.e. Pop Art, Surrealism etc.

Drapery Study

This is a drapery composition I drew in my Drawing 2 class in my Art Fundamentals program at Seneca College. Drawn using white and black conte on grey toned drawing paper. We spent about 2-3 weeks on drapery study, as it can be very tricky. As a final assignment, were asked to draw and model all the curves and folds of the drapery, using black conte for the shadows and white conte for the highlights in a composition we made ourselves. I'm quite satisfied with this drawing and I found it to be quite enjoyable.

T-Rex tooth model. Step 1: Materials

Every project begins with having the right materials, otherwise the project will not be a success. For materials, I got: Super Sculpey, scuplting tools, aluminum wire, paints, wire cutters, aluminum foil, paint brushes and of course, my mp3 player to help me focus on my work :P

Painting

Another painting I did in my Art Fundamentals program. I don't usually use paint as my artist medium, so this assignment was fairly interesting to me. I'm mildly pleased with the outcome, I just wish i could of kept the line quality more clean cut as oppose to rough and jagged. Also i would like to have kept all the square the same size to help emphasize the design principle of rhythm.

Graffiti Letters

Some graffiti letters I was experimenting with sometime ago. Agent Orange and Bad Brains are two bands that I enjoy listening to, so I figured I'd write their names in graffiti to loosely conincide with the punk rock attitude.

"The Guitar Shop"

I drew this piece in my Colour Theory class in my Art Fundamentals program at Seneca College. I call this piece "The Guitar Shop". When you walk into the store, you see hundreds of guitars all hanging on the wall, then you see that one guitar that catches your eye. You then take it off the shelf and strum a few chords and see what it's like.
